March 7 Two Heads: Joanna Fuhrman & Toni Simon
In Joanna Fuhrman’s and Toni Simon’s mixed-media literary project, Egyptian gods, stripped of their context and role, wander various New York City (mainly Brooklyn) neighborhoods trying to figure out where they belong, how to make sense of what they have lost, and how to get along with one another. Joanna Fuhrman writes poems in response to the photographs.
The artists have created several series of photo/poem combinations in Chinatown, the Reversible Destiny Studio, Park Slope, Windsor Terrace, Gowanus and Red Hook.
